Title: Senior Software Developer

Unit

You will be employed by the Group Services Unit. You will report to the Technical Operations Manager who is currently Greg Girard. This position is based in the Ellesmere Port office and your Director is David Bingle.

Job Purpose

To carry out software development and support in order to support the Company's commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Design, Document and Test database facilities to the Company standards.
2. Configuration and enhancement of Client's databases and software in accordance with priorities set and agreed with the Technical Operations Manager.
3. Liaison with Client Services, other departments and external customers with regard to their software development and database requirements.
4. Advising Technical Operations Manager of progress & issues relating to software in development, production software, databases in development and production database administration.
5. Provide technical support in order to resolve production software problems.
6. Provide input into the formulation and revision of the Company Technology Plan as and when required.
7. Participation in on call production support rota.
8. Provision of network administration as and when directed, in order to support the Company's data network infrastructure wherever possible.
9. Supervision, mentoring and coaching of assigned staff.
10. Undertake any other reasonable duties as identified from time to time by the Technical Operations Manager.
