Senior Software Developer

Database Direct Ltd, a leading Direct Marketing Services Company, wishes to recruit a Senior Software Developer to join the Company's Technical Services Department.

This position will be based in Ellesmere Port.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Senior Software Developer is the senior member of a small team undertaking software design, development and support directly impacting upon the Company's commercial activities and internal systems.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree or HND level with at least 5 years proven experience. This will include an in-depth knowledge of Visual Basic 6, ADO and ODBC, SQL, SQLServer 2000, DTS, Enterprise Manager and Query Analyser, the MS Office Suite including VBA/Macros and Crystal. Knowledge of VBScript, Javascript, HTML, XML, CSS and ASP would be an advantage.

As a Senior Software Developer you will have proven experience in data analysis, data and process modelling, and be fully aware of the full systems life cycle.

You will also have good communication and supervisory skills and be comfortable working in a small team to tight deadlines.

This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 37.5 hours with one hour for lunch. Salary Band N1 £23K to £28K per annum
